Uganda received renown in the nineteenth century as the country of the Kabakas (kings) and was later described by Sir Winston Churchill as the “Pearl of Africa”.The features that set Uganda apart from the rest of Africa still attracts the traveler to this land. Today Uganda is known as the land of the mountain, the snow covered Mount Ruwenzori, the islands of Lake Victoria and the animal sanctuaries of Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Fall National Park.
